Informed Sport is a globally recognized testing and certification program for sports supplements, run by LGC. Products certified with Informed Sport have every batch independently tested for 285+ substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) before being released for sale. It is recognized by organizations including the UFC, UK Anti-Doping, the Australian Institute of Sport, and the Council for Responsible Nutrition.

Our co-founder Sean O'Malley was suspended from competition after testing positive for a banned substance from a contaminated supplement he trusted. That experience became the foundation of doingwell. Informed Sport certification was never optional — it was the reason the brand exists. Every batch is tested so that athletes and everyday consumers can trust exactly what's in the product.

We use the term "banned substance tested," not "banned substance free." No testing program can provide a 100% guarantee, and Informed Sport's guidelines require this distinction. What we can tell you is that every batch of doingwell is independently screened for 285+ prohibited substances using ISO 17025 accredited methods at detection levels down to parts per billion. That is the highest standard available.

Third-party testing is a broad term — it could mean a product was checked for heavy metals, microbes, or basic label accuracy by any independent lab. Informed Sport specifically tests for banned substances on the WADA prohibited list using accredited methods at extremely sensitive detection levels. It also includes a manufacturing quality audit, individual lot testing (no composite batching), blind retail testing, and public batch-level verification on informed-sport.com.

No. GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certifies that a manufacturer has proper documentation, processes, and quality controls in place. It does not test for or guarantee the absence of steroids, stimulants, or other banned substances. Inadvertent contamination is still possible in GMP-certified facilities.

Every tested batch is listed on informed-sport.com and the Informed Sport mobile app with the product name, flavor, lot number, expiration date, and test date. You can search or scan the barcode to verify that the batch you have was submitted and tested.

Because "banned" doesn't just mean banned in sport. Many prohibited substances are anabolic steroids, prescription stimulants, or other compounds that carry real health risks regardless of whether you compete. Research from Informed Sport shows that 10–15% of supplements on the market may be contaminated. Knowing your product has been rigorously tested protects your health, not just your eligibility.

Yes. Informed Sport tests each batch and each flavor variant individually. They do not perform composite testing, where multiple batches are combined into one sample — a practice that can dilute contamination below detectable levels. Each lot is tested separately and the results are reported individually.
